Eamon Jubbawy founded Isometric in London in 2022 and is its chief executive. The company certifies the claims industrial businesses make: that carbon has been removed from the atmosphere, that a fuel is low-carbon or that energy was generated cleanly. Jubbawy previously co-founded Onfido, the AI identity verification company that Entrust acquired in 2024. He is also a co-founder of Sequence, the London billing software company led by Riya Grover, and was its chair when it raised its seed round in 2022, as reported by TechCrunch.
Certification as software
Certification has long been a manual process that could take 12 months or more, Isometric says. Its platform, Certify, uses AI agents to read and cross-check the millions of data points behind a claim, from sensor readings and satellite imagery to supply chain records and lab results. The agents flag discrepancies and pass the cases that need expert judgment to human auditors, who can then review all the evidence rather than spot-check it. The company says work that used to take months now takes hours.
Isometric proved the model in carbon removal, where it runs a public registry. It says it has been contracted to certify more than 16 million tonnes of removals, more than any other certifier, and that Microsoft, Anglo American, JPMorganChase, Boeing and more than 200 industrial projects rely on its certification.
A $50m Series A
In June 2026 Isometric announced a $40m (£30m) Series A led by AVP, with the insurer AXA as anchor investor, its existing backers Plural and Lowercarbon Capital, and personal investments from John Doerr and Walter Kortschak. In September Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which operates the New York Stock Exchange, joined the round, taking it to $50m (£37.5m) and Isometric’s total funding to $75m (£56m).
The money is to take Certify beyond carbon removal into industrial emissions, clean energy, sustainable fuels, materials and data centers. Isometric puts the industrial certification market at $350bn (£262bn).
Why it matters to UK buyers
UK companies buying carbon removal, low-carbon steel or clean power increasingly need claims that will stand up to auditors, regulators and lenders before they pay a premium. Certification that runs on software rather than consultant hours may cut the time and cost of getting a project financed, and a public registry lets buyers check what they are paying for. For the consultancies and data providers that sit around these deals, Isometric is a sign that verification is becoming a software category of its own.
Jubbawy helped build Onfido on the idea that identity could be checked by software at scale. At Isometric he is applying the same idea to industrial claims, and the arrival of ICE, an owner of market infrastructure, as an investor suggests the markets that trade those claims are taking it seriously.
