Bechtle buys Dublin reseller ITQuotes to build out its Irish business
The German IT group adds an enterprise and public-sector procurement specialist in Dublin and plans to sell its cloud and security services into the accounts, as it did after a 2023 London deal
- Buyer: Bechtle AG, Neckarsulm
- Target: Technology First Ltd, trading as ITQuotes, Dublin
- Price: undisclosed
- Founders Joe Finucane and Brian Lehane stay on for a period to support the integration
ITQuotes’ enterprise and public-sector accounts move inside a group that negotiates with vendors at European scale, which the independent Dublin resellers bidding for the same contracts do not. If Bechtle follows its cross-sell plan, cloud, security and managed services would be offered into accounts that have bought hardware and deployment, work that Irish MSPs also sell. With Bechtle expecting savings in procurement and vendor management, vendors and distributors that sold to ITQuotes as an independent buyer are likely to deal with Bechtle’s group buying instead.
“Ireland is an attractive and dynamic technology market with a strong international profile. ITQuotes has an exceptional and experienced team and is highly respected in the Irish market.”James Napp, regional director, Bechtle
Bechtle has bought Technology First, the Dublin value-added reseller that trades as ITQuotes, the German IT group said on 23 October. ITQuotes reported revenue of more than €30m (£25m) in its most recent financial year with around 20 staff.
ITQuotes sells IT procurement, hardware, software and deployment services to enterprise and public-sector customers. Bechtle, which has been active in Ireland since 2008 and serves customers there from a Dublin office, says the deal gives it direct access to that customer base for its infrastructure, cloud, security and managed services. It expects savings from combined purchasing and vendor management, and from Europe-wide rollout and service work.
A template from London
Bechtle bought London reseller Tangible Benefit in 2023, when it had about €70m (£59m) in annual revenue and 66 employees. James Napp, the Bechtle regional director who has had the Irish business in his remit since January 2025, told IT Channel Oxygen, which first reported his comments, that he expects ITQuotes to follow the same path. At Tangible Benefit, he said, Bechtle has “doubled the business over a three-year period”. According to the outlet, the deal takes Bechtle’s Irish revenue past €70m, and in a LinkedIn post Napp described it as a step toward £1bn for his region.
Bechtle reported business volume of €8.6bn (£7.2bn) and revenue of €6.4bn (£5.4bn) for 2025, with 16,360 employees at the end of the year.
