NetSuite takes its AI-powered ERP release beyond North America
NetSuite says moving from the current release needs no data migration, and it adds more than 45 AI skills plus tools for customers to build their own agents
- NetSuite Next reached customers in Australia and New Zealand on 26 October, its first availability outside North America
- Spain, Sweden and the Benelux countries are due in 2027
- The ready-made agents cover software, product, healthcare, construction and nonprofit organizations
- NetSuite says it has more than 44,000 customers in 220 countries and territories
Finance teams on NetSuite get AI that works on close delays, revenue leakage and inventory exceptions inside the ERP itself, with NetSuite saying skills and agents act only within each customer’s existing roles and permissions. SuiteSkills can also be called from outside large language models through the NetSuite AI Connector Service, so a customer can use them without adopting Oracle’s own assistant. Oracle has not published what the agent features will cost.
“Businesses want AI that understands how they operate and helps them get things done.”Evan Goldberg, founder and executive vice-president, Oracle NetSuite
Oracle NetSuite began moving customers outside North America onto NetSuite Next, the AI-powered release of its ERP suite, on 26 October, with Australia and New Zealand among the first markets, as reported by Techzine. At its SuiteWorld conference in Las Vegas the same day, the company added more than 45 SuiteSkills – packaged tasks that combine financial and operational data with AI reasoning.
Techzine reports that customers in the US and Canada have had NetSuite Next since July, when it arrived with release 2026.2, and that Ask Oracle, the conversational assistant, also works in the existing NetSuite interface, so customers can use it before moving to the new release. NetSuite says switching requires no data migration or rework. Spain, Sweden and the Benelux countries follow in 2027, according to IT Brief. Nicky Tozer, senior vice-president for EMEA at Oracle NetSuite, announced the rollout in a company blog post.
The new features sit in NetSuite Next. AI Workspaces bring staff, agents and approvals into one view; one of them, Autonomous Close, is designed to move businesses toward a zero-day close. SuiteAgent Studio lets customers build agents that run on a schedule or in response to business events, alongside ready-made agents for five industries. Ask Oracle gains connectors built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to reach other business systems, and NetSuite Analytics Warehouse is renamed NetSuite Data Intelligence.
NetSuite says SuiteSkills, AI Portlets, AI Workspaces and some industry agents are available now wherever NetSuite Next is offered. Other capabilities announced at SuiteWorld are planned for a future release, and Oracle’s announcement states that timing and pricing may change.
