Redkite Solicitors is a full-service law firm with its registered office in Cardiff and 19 offices across Wales and the South West, from Haverfordwest, Tenby and Pembroke to Swansea, Bridgend, Penarth, Gloucester, Stroud and Cirencester. It acts for businesses on corporate and commercial work, commercial property, commercial disputes, construction, employment and agricultural law, and for individuals and families on personal injury, wills and probate, tax and trusts, family law, the Court of Protection and residential conveyancing. The firm says it has supported clients for more than a century.
Neil Walker leads Redkite as chief executive officer and is a designated member of Red Kite Law LLP, the partnership behind the firm. He won the Leadership Award at the Legal News Wales 2026 Awards, where the firm also took Wellbeing Strategy of the Year.
Double-digit turnover growth
Turnover rose 14% from £15.2m to £17.3m in the year to March 2025, and profit before members’ remuneration grew from £2.2m to £3.1m, according to the LLP’s group accounts at Companies House. Staff are employed through a service company, Red Kite Business Services, whose accounts show an average of 248 people, including directors, up from 239. The firm says turnover reached £20.4m in its most recent financial year, growth of 18%, and that it has doubled in size over five years.
Two acquisitions in 2026
In May 2026 Redkite bought Alan Simons & Co, a long-established Penarth practice, adding to its presence in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Partner Chris Davison joined from the Penarth firm and its team continues to serve existing clients. On 1 September 2026 it completed the acquisition of CLA Trust & Legacy Planning, a Cardiff private client firm, and its director Helen Downes joined as partner and head of private wealth and succession planning. The firm also appointed two new equity partners in May 2026.
Announcing the CLA deal, Walker said: “This has been a strong year for Redkite, and this acquisition is a natural next step in that growth.”
Ranked in Wales
The Legal 500 UK 2027 guide ranks Redkite in nine practice areas, according to the firm, including its first Tier 1 ranking, for commercial litigation in Wales. Six of its lawyers are individually ranked, among them Rhian Davies, head of commercial litigation, who moved up to leading partner.
