rradar is a legal practice headquartered on Beacon Way in Hull, with a sister company, rradar (Scotland) Limited, registered in Glasgow. It combines legal advice with consultancy, training and digital products for businesses: an incident reporting tool, a whistleblowing service, a risk audit tool and a knowledge library. Its practice areas include employment and HR, health and safety, and cyber, data and information law, and it works across sectors including care, construction, education and professional sport.

Gary Gallen founded the business and leads it as CEO. The leadership team includes Davina Gillyon as chief commercial officer, Sarah Blanchfield as chief operating officer and Chris Shortland as chief financial officer. Companies House lists Legalosophy Limited as the parent of rradar (Holdings) Limited, and Gallen as the person with significant control of Legalosophy.

Growth from products and services

Group turnover rose 17% from £24m to £28m in 2025, according to the consolidated accounts of rradar (Holdings) Limited filed at Companies House. The strategic report attributes the rise to increased sales of products and services and to productivity gains after the deployment of new IT platforms. Total equity grew 31% to £3.1m. The average number of employees, including one director, rose from 249 to 259.

The group is organized as a set of specialist companies under the holding company. They include rradar Limited, Back Academy, which trains the haulage industry, and Backhouse Jones, which provides legal services to haulage operators. The accounts say most of the group’s revenue comes from services provided to the financial services sector.
