Vertice adds invoice agents and payments to its procurement platform

The London-headquartered company now carries a purchase from first request to supplier payment on one record, pitching finance teams on the discounts and terms it says are lost after signature

The facts
  • Availability: P2P is available now as part of the Vertice platform
  • Analyst ranking: IDC named Vertice a Leader in its MarketScape assessment of AI-enabled spend orchestration vendors in July 2026
  • Offices: London headquarters, plus New York, Sydney, Brno, Linz and Johannesburg
  • Reach: finance and procurement teams in more than 100 countries, Vertice says
  • Customers Vertice names include Arm, Brex, Duolingo, Twilio and Santander
Why it matters

The product moves Vertice from the buying decision into accounts payable, where it competes with the invoice automation suppliers many finance teams already run. Agents that reconcile invoices against contract terms shift a control step from accounts payable staff to software. Adopting it also places more of an organization’s supplier spend data and payment controls with a single vendor.

“More than 10% of contract value leaks away after signature through missed early payment discounts and suboptimal payment terms. Finance teams can't protect value if all they can see is a PO and an invoice.”Eldar Tuvey, chief executive and founder, Vertice

Vertice launched a Procure-to-Pay (P2P) capability on 22 October, adding invoice capture and processing, purchase-order matching, spend controls and payments to its procurement platform. The company says its procurement dataset covers $75bn (£56bn) of spend across 32,000 vendors.

P2P takes Vertice beyond its Intake-to-Procure (I2P) product. Each payment is now tied to the request that started the purchase, together with its approvals, negotiation history and contract. Vertice says its invoice agents sort incoming documents, pull out the key data, check it against purchase orders, contract terms and budgets, and add general ledger (GL) codes and an audit trail.

According to Vertice, finance and accounts payable teams among its early customers use the product to settle invoice discrepancies, spot vendors willing to move on price and terms, renegotiate early, capture early-payment discounts and adjust budgets as supplier prices shift. The company says more than 80% of the suppliers handled through P2P have brought its customers quicker payment, better terms or more accurate cost forecasts.

The launch follows the purchase of Vendr, a US software-pricing benchmarking firm, in June, as reported by CFOtech. Vertice also sells Ana, an agent that negotiates software purchases; in a September blog post the company said Ana had run more than 4,000 live negotiations covering $500m (£373m) of spend, with average savings of 18%.

Vertice’s case for the product rests partly on research by World Commerce & Contracting, produced with the contract-management vendor Ironclad, which puts the average loss at 11% of contract value. The report is Closing the Procurement Value Gap: How Smarter Contracting Can Prevent 11% Value Leakage, published in January.
