Adam Williamson has been UK country manager of Exclusive Networks, the specialist cybersecurity distributor, since late 2025. He has worked at the company for more than 16 years and was its UK sales director for most of the past decade, Microscope reported in December 2025. He took over when Rob Tomlin, his predecessor, was promoted to run Exclusive’s Northern Europe region.

Services before boxes

Exclusive’s UK leadership page says Williamson is focused on transforming its service offerings: professional services, training, support, managed services and value-added programs. He has set that out as a defense of distribution itself, telling Microscope that “people told me distribution was going to die” while accepting that partners’ hardware needs are shrinking. His answer is to make distribution the place where vendors’ products turn into working deployments, with Exclusive’s services acting as what he called a customer success engine.

The first evidence is in what the UK business added in the summer of 2026. In July 2026 it signed Docker to distribute its container platform in the UK and Ireland, and launched security assurance services with SecuraNova, offering penetration testing and configuration reviews that partners can resell. Exclusive says the services went live in all eight of its Northern European markets at once rather than as a pilot. In August Rapid7 named Exclusive its strategic distribution partner for the UK. At group level, Exclusive won Palo Alto Networks’ 2025 EMEA Distributor of the Year award in April 2026 and a global agreement in July to fulfill Fortinet’s multinational deals.

The UK and Ireland business also gained Great Place To Work certification in December 2025, which matters for a distributor whose pitch rests on the skills of its own engineers.

Why it matters to the channel

Exclusive carries many of the largest security vendors, including Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks. Its services push means resellers and MSPs without their own penetration testers or round-the-clock support can buy those skills through distribution rather than hire them.

Williamson has spent 16 years inside Exclusive and knows its vendors and partners closely. He is using that to make the UK business a source of services and skills for partners, not only a route to products.
