Charles Nasser

Charles Nasser founded Claranet in London in 1996 as an internet service provider and has run it as chief executive ever since. Thirty years on, it is a pan-European managed service provider working across cloud, cybersecurity, data, applications, networks and workplace services, with operations in the UK, much of continental Europe, Brazil, India and the US. Claranet says it has made around 40 acquisitions of its own.

Bringing in Six Degrees

On 29 June 2026 Claranet bought Six Degrees, a UK managed services provider. Interpath’s Rick Harrison and Will Wright were appointed joint administrators to Isosceles DM 123 Limited, one of the Six Degrees group’s entities, and immediately completed a solvent sale of the shares in Six Degrees’ main trading companies to Claranet. Interpath said about 200 Six Degrees employees moved across with the business.

Claranet says the enlarged group has 3,500 staff and revenue of more than €650m (£565m), with Six Degrees now operating under the Claranet brand. Nasser said the deal was “a great opportunity to bring together the experience and resources of two great companies to deliver a broader service portfolio to benefit our customers.”

Services for mid-market buyers

Around the deal, Claranet has pushed into areas where mid-market buyers are spending. In June it became a founding signatory of the CREST AI Charter, and in July it launched AI risk assessment services and a Portfolio Operator program selling technology services to private equity-backed companies.

Why it matters to the channel

Claranet is combining two UK managed services businesses on one platform and under one brand. Mid-market customers get a larger provider with a broader portfolio across cloud, cybersecurity, data and applications, and vendors and distributors that worked with both will now deal with one larger partner.

Nasser has built Claranet through acquisitions for three decades, so integration is familiar work. Six Degrees gives him greater UK scale to sit alongside the group’s operations across Europe, Brazil, India and the US.
