Dave Stevinson is group chief executive of QBS Technology Group, the software distributor behind QBS Software and Prianto. He has been a director of QBS Software, a company first incorporated in 1987, since January 2018, and QBS describes him as its founder and chief executive. In that time QBS has grown into a group with teams across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Built by acquisition

Stevinson told Technology Reseller in October 2025 that QBS had completed 15 acquisitions in seven years. The largest was Prianto, a Munich-based enterprise software distributor, which QBS completed buying in February 2025. The pace has continued since. In October 2025 QBS completed its sixth acquisition in the region it calls META, EMT in Dubai, and in May 2026 it took full ownership of Infonet, a software and cybersecurity distributor in Türkiye.

QBS says it gives more than 6,000 reseller partners a single route to more than 12,500 software vendors, and describes its model as long-tail and value-added software distribution. In May 2026 it reported recurring revenues above $700m (£524m) and a team of more than 400, and it has set a target of $1bn. In December 2025 it became one of 12 designated sellers of record for AWS Marketplace in EMEA, which lets it act as reseller of record for software vendors selling through AWS.

Building a leadership team

Stevinson has spent the past 18 months hiring the senior team a group of this size needs: Charlie Heald as chief financial officer in April 2025 and Tom Corrigan as chief revenue officer in August 2025, as reported by IT Channel Oxygen, and Kerrie Steenkamp, from Insight, as chief operating officer in February 2026. Steenkamp’s remit includes post-acquisition integration across seven countries. QBS has also appointed PwC to run its global audit and tax.

“This financial year was one of extreme scaling blending double-digit organic growth with several acquisitions,” Stevinson told IT Channel Oxygen in February, adding that QBS had almost 80 new roles in its budget.

Why it matters to the channel

For UK resellers and MSPs, QBS is where niche software is bought: the vendors a broadline distributor won’t carry and a reseller can’t afford to sign directly. Stevinson is clear about the threat. “The hyperscalers have muscled into the industry very successfully,” he told Technology Reseller. His answer is to sell through AWS Marketplace as well as around it.

Stevinson has built QBS through 15 acquisitions into a group spanning Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and has hired the senior team to run it as one business on the way to its $1bn target.
