Lauren McManus founded Electric Bloom, a marketing and PR agency for the UK telecoms and IT channel, in July 2024. Companies House lists her as the company’s director since it was incorporated on 3 July 2024. She came to it from the channel’s own marketing departments. Gamma hired her in November 2020 as head of marketing for channel, a new post, after five years at Daisy Wholesale, now Digital Wholesale Solutions. There, Gamma said, she steered the team through its rebrand and set a strategy to win IT resellers. She has also led teams at Giacom, according to Comms Dealer.

Marketing for the sellers

Electric Bloom works for channel businesses rather than their end customers. It offers consultancy, PR, event management, copywriting and social media, and trade coverage of its anniversaries says it has built a reputation for award entries and event video.

In July 2025 McManus said the agency had spent its first year helping channel firms “sharpen their marketing strategies”, as reported by Comms Dealer. At two years, in June 2026, she said: “The past year has been full of exciting client projects, new opportunities and continued growth for the business.”

Recognition

McManus was shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year in CRN’s 2026 Women & Diversity in Channel Awards, whose winners are announced on 8 October 2026. In 2019 she was a finalist in the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Marketer of the Year category.

Why it matters to the channel

Many small MSPs and comms resellers have no marketer on staff. Agencies run by former distributor and carrier marketers sell something generalist agencies can’t: they know how channel businesses make money and who the buyers are.

McManus has turned her years in distributor and carrier marketing into an agency that sells that experience back to the channel, and in June 2026 it marked two years in business.
