Olya Scekaturova became vice-president of regional sales for the UK and Ireland at Westcon-Comstor, the cybersecurity, networking and cloud distributor, on 1 July 2026. It is a new role. For the first time, the Westcon and Comstor sales teams in the UK and Ireland report to one leader, as part of a single European operating model introduced under Stéphane Reboud, senior vice-president of sales for Europe, to whom she reports.

She came from the partner side of the channel. Before joining she was vice-president for the UK, Ireland and Europe at Black Box, the digital infrastructure provider, and she previously held leadership roles at Computacenter and Insight Enterprises. The two previous UK leaders have moved on: John Nolan, who ran Westcon in the UK and Ireland, became senior director of vendor sales, and Clive Hailstone, the former Comstor UK boss, is semi-retiring, as reported by IT Channel Oxygen.

From sourcing to services

Scekaturova’s pitch is that distribution has changed. “Ten years ago, distribution was predominantly seen as a transactional partner; now it’s more of a value provider,” she told IT Channel Oxygen. In the appointment announcement she said her priority is to help partners capture “high-margin, repeatable and lifecycle-led opportunities”.

The group’s numbers support the direction. In the year to 28 February 2026, Westcon-Comstor’s gross sales rose 9.6% to $5.74bn (£4.3bn) and adjusted EBITDA rose 15% to $172.4m. Software and services made up 71% of gross sales, and recurring business 68%. Cybersecurity accounted for just over half. In September it opened its own London office, and it says it employs more than 500 people across the UK.

Why it matters to the channel

Until July, Westcon and Comstor ran separate sales teams in the UK and Ireland. Merging the sales teams changes who UK partners deal with and how vendors reach them. Scekaturova brings experience from the reseller and integrator side to that job, with a group behind her that already earns 68% of its gross sales from recurring business.

She is building one services-led Westcon-Comstor sales operation for UK partners in place of two.
