Sherry Vaswani is the founder and chief executive of Xalient, which sells advisory, professional and managed services across identity security, cybersecurity and networking to large multinational companies. She has been a director of its holding company since it was incorporated in August 2015. Xalient was her second venture: she told IT Channel Oxygen in 2024 that she had built and sold her previous business to Jersey Telecom in 2012.

An international roll-up

Private equity firm Volpi Capital invested in October 2022, and in 2023 Xalient bought US identity consultancy Integral Partners and Dutch identity specialist Grabowsky. The deals changed the shape of the business. In 2024, according to its latest accounts, revenue rose 63% to £85.0m and adjusted EBITDA rose 47% to £5.9m. Some 71% of revenue came from outside the UK, and US revenue, up 60%, made up 45% of the total. Global services revenue grew 44%, largely from the consulting businesses it had acquired.

Where she is pointing it

Vaswani’s bet for 2026 is that security spending follows AI and automation into machine identities and operational technology. “Security is no longer just about people; it’s about machines and critical infrastructure too,” she told IT Channel Oxygen in July 2026, naming AI, non-human identities and operational technology as the areas where she wants Xalient to be the partner customers turn to. Its managed services run on Martina, an in-house AIOps platform that she has said grew out of early work with the University of Bradford.

Why it matters to the channel

Few UK-founded channel businesses earn most of their revenue abroad. Xalient does, and it has done so by treating identity, security and networking as one service rather than three. For UK MSPs weighing US expansion, it shows that acquisitions can buy access to American enterprise customers quickly.

Vaswani has built an international business from a UK base in under a decade, and is now pointing it at machine identities, AI and operational technology security.
