Will Morey has been managing director of Gamma Business, which sells Gamma’s calling, cloud communications and connectivity to UK small businesses through channel partners, since May 2025, when Gamma promoted him to the role, as reported by Comms Dealer. His Gamma biography gives him nearly 30 years in the industry, including leadership roles at the distributors Crane and Westcon, and says he co-founded several businesses, among them Pragma. Gamma says the business works with more than 1,500 channel partners, and Morey is due to open and close Gammaverse, its partner event in London, on 8 October 2026.

A partner program built on feedback

His first big move was Gamma Edge, launched in July 2025. It combines jointly written business plans, a rebate engine that rewards growth across several product lines and tools to move customers off legacy systems. Gamma said it followed a year of partner feedback sessions. In November 2025 Gamma rebuilt Accelerate, its partner sales and marketing hub, adding sales playbooks and built-in management of market development funds (MDF). “We asked what would genuinely make a difference, and partners told us they wanted simplicity, flexibility and insight,” Morey said at the launch.

What partners are selling

In its results for the six months to 30 June 2026, Gamma reported strong demand in its UK small business segment for Webex for Gamma, PhoneLine+ and full fibre. Gross profit from PSTN products held flat, helped by price rises and lower churn than expected, as customers prepare for the copper switch-off. In September 2026 Openreach changed the rules again, allowing existing broadband to continue for customers still on legacy lines, and Gamma said it was assessing the implications for partners.

A new owner

On 1 September 2026 Gamma’s board agreed a recommended cash offer of 1,120 pence a share from Bradbury Bidco, a company controlled by funds managed by Epiris. It values Gamma at about £1.02bn, a 53% premium to the share price before the offer period began in April. Shareholders vote on 20 October, and the deal is expected to complete in the first half of 2027.

Gamma reaches UK small businesses mainly through partners. In 2025 it moved its own direct SME customers to O2 Daisy, saying channel partners were the best route to that market, and Epiris named the partner network among the reasons it wants the company. That makes Morey’s rebate, pricing and migration terms a direct input to reseller margins.

Morey has spent 16 months giving partners more reasons to stay with Gamma, and the network he runs is one of the reasons Epiris gave for buying the company.
