Accenture Edge sells six packaged AWS offers to the mid-market

The integrator’s new mid-market unit is selling ready-to-deploy migration, security and contact center packages through AWS Marketplace, on ground UK MSPs and mid-tier resellers treat as theirs

The facts
  • No prices or country availability disclosed
  • 407 ETR says the new contact center runs at 99.9% platform reliability, with call and chat abandonment at 5% or less
  • More than 250 staff at 407 ETR moved to the new system, the operator says
  • Accenture Edge chief executive Srini Subramanian joined Accenture in 2023, when it bought Oracle service provider Inspirage, Channel Dive reported
What it means for partners

Packaged, ready-to-deploy services sold through hyperscaler marketplaces have become a familiar route into mid-market work for UK MSPs, and Accenture is now selling the same shape of product with a global brand behind it. If the storefront opens to UK buyers, mid-tier resellers are likely to meet Edge first in AWS migration and landing-zone deals, where scope is easiest to standardize.

With UK availability unconfirmed, the threat is prospective for now. Partners with AWS competencies should watch whether AWS co-sell and funding programs start steering mid-market deals toward Edge.

“Mid-market companies need practical ways to adopt AI, modernize their technology foundations and compete at speed with solutions designed for their scale”Srini Subramanian, chief executive, Accenture Edge

Accenture said on 22 September that Accenture Edge, the business it set up for companies with $300m to $3bn (£227m to £2.3bn) in annual revenue, has made six offerings built on Amazon Web Services (AWS) generally available. Customers buy them through Accenture’s storefront on AWS Marketplace and deploy them in their own IT environment.

The six cover data discovery ahead of migration, AI-assisted virtual machine migration using AWS Transform, add-ons such as conversational AI and virtual agents for existing contact centers, a cloud spend health check, red teaming of AI systems and a security landing zone built with AWS Control Tower.

Accenture describes AWS as a foundational partner for Edge, providing dedicated resources as well as its cloud and AI services. The showcase customer is 407 ETR, a toll highway near Toronto, whose contact center was rebuilt on Amazon Connect by NeuraFlash, which the release describes as part of Accenture Edge. Channel Dive reported that Accenture launched the unit in June.
