Zen adds eero mesh Wi-Fi to its full fiber plans for small firms
The Rochdale-based provider says patchy Wi-Fi inside the building is costing small businesses time even on fast lines, and it has commissioned research to back the claim
- Packages: Zen’s Essentials (100Mbps–2.5Gbps) and Pro full fiber business services
- Pricing terms: no mid-contract price rises, according to Zen
- Research: commissioned by Zen from Censuswide, 500 senior decision makers at UK SMEs, 20–25 February 2026
For a small firm, picking a broadband supplier increasingly means picking the in-building network too, not just the line. Before signing, buyers should ask which access points and how many units come with each tier, whether any features need a separate subscription and who supports the kit when coverage falls short. A bundled router is only a saving if it reaches every corner of the premises.
“Small businesses have become increasingly dependent on cloud tools, online payments, and strong connectivity, yet our research shows many are losing valuable time each week to WiFi disruption.”Jon Nowell, managing director of the business division, Zen Internet
Zen Internet has added eero Business mesh Wi-Fi, from Amazon’s eero unit, to its full fiber broadband for small and medium-sized businesses, the provider announced on 14 April. Respondents to a survey it commissioned put the productivity lost to Wi-Fi problems at 11 hours a week on average.
Half (50%) of the senior decision makers polled for Zen said their business had access to full fiber, yet 49% said Wi-Fi coverage inside their premises limited the value they got from the connection. They reported Wi-Fi problems 13 times a month on average.
The eero system lets a business run up to four separate networks, so card terminals, staff devices and guests can be kept apart. Zen says owners can manage it through an app and a web portal without specialist IT support. As ISPreview pointed out, the announcement did not say which eero models come with which package.
Zen ties the launch to the UK’s move to all-IP services and cloud-first working, arguing that in-building Wi-Fi now has to be as dependable as the fiber feeding it.
