HubSpot adds ChatGPT Ads campaigns to its CRM in beta

OpenAI’s ad platform can now be run and measured from inside HubSpot, with closed deals traced back to ChatGPT campaigns. Whether UK advertisers can use it is still unclear

The facts
  • Announced: 16 September 2026
  • Status: beta, switched on by a HubSpot super admin
  • HubSpot says weekly active users of its ChatGPT connector, launched in 2025, have grown 250%
  • TechInformed reports the beta is open in countries where ChatGPT Ads is supported; HubSpot’s own pages don’t list them
What it means for partners

For HubSpot solutions partners, many of them agencies, this looks like a new paid channel to set up and report on for small business clients, and one where early case studies will count. The catch for UK partners is availability: they should confirm with OpenAI that UK advertisers are eligible before pitching it.

Sending conversion data to OpenAI is also likely to need a data protection review under UK GDPR, which gives partners with consent and CRM data skills a billable first step.

“Putting AI to work shouldn’t require businesses to rebuild the way they work.”Brian Landsman, vice-president, global partnerships, OpenAI

HubSpot said on 16 September that it has built the first customer relationship management (CRM) integration with ChatGPT Ads, so customers can create, budget, launch and report on OpenAI’s ad campaigns from HubSpot’s ads tool. The integration is in beta. HubSpot’s knowledge base says a super admin must opt in, and customers need their own ChatGPT Ads account and application programming interface (API) key.

HubSpot’s case is attribution. Ad clicks are mapped to contacts and deals, so a closed deal can be traced to the ChatGPT campaign that started it, and ChatGPT spend is reported beside the other ad networks HubSpot already connects. TechInformed reports that customers can also send conversion events back to OpenAI, with sharing tied to a consent property on each contact.

The launch comes with an updated HubSpot connector for ChatGPT, which can now run email campaigns, build landing pages for ads and analyze closed-won deals from inside ChatGPT.

HubSpot and OpenAI are also offering an AI Growth Bundle: up to 65% off HubSpot Starter and credits for a year, a buy-one-get-one-free offer on ChatGPT Business seats for a year and a $750 (£566) match on ChatGPT Ads spend for new accounts opened by 30 September. TechInformed reports that the ad match applies only to eligible new US advertisers.
