Vectra AI launches Ascent partner program with three levels

The network detection vendor is organizing partners around selling, marketing, delivering and building together. It hasn't said what any level pays

The facts
  • Vectra is based in San Jose, California.
  • Chad Reese is Vectra's senior vice-president and global channel chief.
  • Vectra says it holds 39 patents.
  • Ascent is open to partners worldwide, and Vectra has not announced any UK-specific terms.
What it means for partners

The co-deliver strand is the part UK MSSPs should read closely. By building implementation and managed services into the program, Vectra looks to be signaling that it wants partners to run its NDR for customers, not just resell licenses.

Without published tiers or margins, the program is hard to compare with the schemes run by rival detection and response vendors. Partners weighing a move to Vectra are likely to get more from asking for the Summit criteria in writing than from the launch material.

“Organizations are looking for trusted advisors to help them solve the broader AI security challenges that exist today.”Chad Reese, senior vice-president and global channel chief, Vectra AI

Vectra AI launched Ascent, a global partner program with three levels named Basecamp, Elevate and Summit, on 15 September. It covers solution providers, managed security service providers (MSSPs), systems integrators, distributors, cloud partners and technology alliances.

Vectra sells network detection and response (NDR) and related threat detection tools. It says more than 2,000 organizations use it, and that Gartner named it a Leader for NDR in 2025 and 2026. Ascent is built around four ways of working: co-sell, through joint account planning and technical validation; co-market, including marketing development funds (MDF); co-deliver, covering implementation, consulting, managed services and customer success; and co-innovate, for integrations, services and managed offerings that set partners apart.

Vectra says partners gain deeper benefits and joint investment as they move up the levels. It hasn't published discounts, rebates, MDF amounts or the thresholds for each level.

The launch includes an endorsement from partner GuidePoint Security, which also appears in Orca Security's partner program announcement the following day.
