Softcat, TD Synnex and Westcon-Comstor make UK tech workplaces list
Distributors, resellers and service providers sit among the 159 names on Great Place To Work’s 2026 tech list. But only companies that ran its paid employee survey and passed could qualify
- Certification needs at least 10 UK-based employees and a Trust Index score of 65% or more
- Great Place To Work says 85% of the evaluation rests on employees’ experiences of trust and reaching their full potential, and 15% on innovation, values and leadership
- The Trust Index survey has 60 statements and two open-ended questions, and takes employees 10–20 minutes
- A certification badge is valid for 12 months
For resellers, distributors and MSPs competing with vendors for the same engineers and presales staff, a place on the list is a recruiting asset they can put in job ads. But a rival’s absence proves nothing: it may simply never have bought the survey, and with no published scores the badge can’t be used to compare employers.
The more useful output is the survey data itself. A channel business that knows where its engineers and sales teams score lower than its managers has something to fix before a competitor’s recruiter finds it.

Great Place To Work UK published its UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech 2026 list in September. It names 159 organizations: 59 in its large and super large band and 100 in its small and medium band.
Channel businesses feature heavily in the larger band. The distributors are TD Synnex UK, Westcon-Comstor and Exclusive Networks. The resellers, integrators and service providers include Softcat, Bytes Software Services, Insight Direct (UK), Phoenix Software, World Wide Technology, Kerv, Natilik, TSG and Zen Internet. Nomios UK&I, Noventiq Northern Europe and Novatech appear among the smaller firms. Vendors that sell through partners, including Cisco, CrowdStrike, ServiceNow, Veeam and SentinelOne, are on the list too.
The list is self-selecting. Great Place To Work considered only companies it had already certified and that named technology as their primary industry on its Culture Brief questionnaire. Certification depends on its Trust Index employee survey, which it sells in packages priced by company size and survey scope. Companies with more than 1,000 employees must also complete a Culture Audit of five essay questions.
The top companies in each size band are recognized, and Great Place To Work lists them alphabetically with no ranks or scores. It doesn’t name companies that entered and missed out.
Westcon-Comstor says this is its second consecutive year on the list, and that it employs more than 500 people in the UK.
